The ECCAAUP continues in existence. By agreement, included in the group to vote on inclusion in the ECCAAUP Unit are all Term Faculty and all Non-renewable Term Faculty ("NRF"). There are, in addition, nine individuals with the title "Distinguished Term Faculty." Of these, four (Professors Carl, Dower, Ketner, and Randolph) were issued staff contracts, and the union agrees that these four should be excluded. The ECCAAUP wishes to include the five additional individuals with the title of Distinguished Term Faculty, while the employer wishes to exclude all nine individuals holding the Distinguished Term Faculty title. The parties have agreed that the five contested Distinguished Term Faculty shall be permitted to vote subject to the employer's challenge. Included: All full-time, non-tenure track faculty, including without limitation, faculty with the title of “Term Faculty” and “Non-renewable Term Faculty.” Excluded: All other employees (including, but not limited to (1) the Director and Editor-In-Chief of Ploughshares and Distinguished Publisher-in-Residence; (2) the Stephen G. Langley Chair of Theatre Management and Production; (3) the Distinguished Artist-in-Residence, Co-Artistic Director, Arts Emerson; and (4) the Lois and Henry Foster Chair in Contemporary Art Theory and Practice and Distinguished Curator-in-Residence), visiting faculty contracted to work for less than an academic year, guards, and supervisors as defined in the Act.
