Voluntary Union Recognitions Known to the NLRB

Private employers, under the jurisidiction of the NLRB, may voluntarily recognize unions for purposes of collective bargaining pursuant to Section 9 of the National Labor Relations Act. When that happens, the employer notifies the NLRB using Form NLRB-5581.

This data is gathered from NLRB about these voluntary recognitions through public records requests.
